Jets women's volleyball to debut Fall 2018
Aug 18, 2017

San Diego Miramar College is proud to announce the creation of a women's volleyball program. Riding the coattails of Miramar men's volleyball's breakout 2017 Pacific Coast Athletic Conference championship season this past Spring, Jets WVB is set to debut in the 2018 season.

Miramar WVB will also compete in the PCAC, and will compete in the conference's North division, with College of the Desert, Mira Costa, Mt. San Jacinto, Palomar, and San Bernardino Valley. PCAC-South programs Cuyamaca, Grossmont, Imperial Valley, San Diego City, San Diego Mesa, and Southwestern are also natural candidates to be on the Jets' 2018 schedule.

Jets women's volleyball will be the sixth program in Miramar's athletic department. The coaching staff is yet to be determined. Interested players can contact Jets MVB associate head coach Mark Smith at masmith@sdccd.edu.

Consistent with the mission of San Diego Miramar College, Miramar Jets Intercollegiate Athletics will strive for academic and athletic excellence by offering model programs that fit the needs, interests, and abilities of our male and female student-athletes. In this context, excellence is focused on the physical, emotional, and intellectual well being to develop meaningful standards of character, respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership, and sportsmanship within the educational and social environment, through highly qualified educators, coaches, and state-of-the-art facilities.
