Jets basketball ends 2015 season with win over SD Mesa
Feb 23, 2015

A mid-season slump would lay to rest the 2015 playoff hopes of Miramar's basketball team, but an end-of-season flourish was topped off with a 98-78 win over crosstown rival San Diego Mesa.

Jelani Carr racked up 36 points to lead the Jets, while Marcus McMorris and Mike Jones added 19 points each. McMorris added 8 assists, and Drew Peterson grabbed 7 rebounds. Miramar shot 54.2% on the evening, while also draining 22 out of 28 free throws on the evening.

The Jets rebounded from its mid-season woes to win seven out of its last nine games, including wins over PCAC North co-champ Palomar and PCAC South champion Southwestern, ending the season at 11-15.
