Lady Jets' playoff run ends with CCCAA Elite Eight loss
Nov 29, 2014

The Miramar women's soccer team's 2014 playoff run ended with a 2-0 loss to SoCal #1 and host Santiago Canyon.

Two early goals for SCC, by Jordyn Belanto (assist: Brooke Mays) in the fifth minute, and by Mays (assist: Kaitlin Gishwiller) at the 7:00 minute mark, proved too great a deficit for the Lady Jets to overcome.

A nine-game winning streak (and without a loss since Sept. 5th) propelled Miramar WSOC to the CCCAA's Elite Eight. Winners of its fifth straight PCAC North division championship under head coach Sean Bowers, the Lady Jets finish the 2014 season at 17-3-2.

Consistent with the mission of San Diego Miramar College, Miramar Jets Intercollegiate Athletics will strive for academic and athletic excellence by offering model programs that fit the needs, interests, and abilities of our male and female student-athletes. In this context, excellence is focused on the physical, emotional, and intellectual well being to develop meaningful standards of character, respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership, and sportsmanship within the educational and social environment, through highly qualified educators, coaches, and state-of-the-art facilities.
